Marriage demand proves costly for young woman

Hyderabad, Dec 22 (UNI) Irked by his 25-year-old lover's persistent demands to get married, an youth murdered her, under Rajendra Nagar police station limits here.

Police said Vijaya Kumar was in love with a divorcee, Rajeshwari, hailing from Vijayawada, since the last two years. Rajeswari was forcing him to marry her for the last six months and threatened him that she would inform their parents about the love affair.

But, Kumar took her to the outskirts of the cityand hanged her with her stole on December 19 and abandoned the body, police added.

The incident came to light today after detailed investigations and a special police team arrested Kumar.
