IAF aircraft crash landed at Bhubaneswar airport

Bhubanewar, Dec 22(UNI) One Surya Kiran aircraft of the Indian Air Force caught fire and crash landed on the runway of the Biju Patnaik airport here today.

Airport sources said the mishap occured while four Surya Kiran aircraft were taking part in the acrobatic training exercise.

While three of them could successfully took off, one caught fire and crash landed on the runway.

Fire tenders present at the spot rushed to the site and extinguish the flame.

However, the pilot of the aircraft received minor injuries.

The acrobatic exercise was immediately suspended after the mishap, sources said.
