Fire renders 12 families homeless in Mizoram

Aizawl, Dec 22 (UNI) A man was injured and three buildings were damaged leaving twelve families homeless in a fire here yesterday, officials today said.

The injured person, sustained fractures when jumped from one of the buildings to escape from the flames through window, fire brigade sources said.

Disaster management and rehabilitation minister Lalrinchhana visited the affected families this morning and assured them of all possible aids from the government.

Local volunteers have undertaken works for reconstruction of temporary houses and aid for the affected families.
