Satyam to set up innovative centre of excellence in city

Hyderabad, Dec 21 (UNI) Satyam Computer Services Ltd, a leading global consulting and information technology services company, today announced that it will set up a Process Manufacturing Innovation Centre of Excellence (PROMICE) in the city.

The setting up of PROMISE was intended to help the process manufacturing companies to fully exploit advances in information technology, especially in product and process innovation, a release here said.

PROMICE will create solutions and intellectual property through the new facility, providing exceptional business values to its global customers while enhancing the organisation's competency in its process manufacturing business unit.

''We will offer innovative solutions using a highly collaborative environment which will provide our process manufacturing clients the expertise, speed, precision and agility they need to stay ahead in their market segments,'' Satyam Manufacturing and Automotive Business Director and senior Vice-President Subu D said.

Equipped with latest technology infrastructure and highly qualified and domain experts, the PROMISE centre will have virtually simulated factories for each of major 10 process industry verticals like metals and mining, building materials, pulp and paper, textiles, food and beverages, leather, plastics, rubber, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, the release added.
