Remand prisoner dies in hospital

Kozhikode, Dec 21 (UNI) A remand prisoner undergoing treatment in the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital died of chest pain, today.

Police said Rasheed alias Thannian Koya (42), arrested in connection with a narcotics case, was admitted to the hospital on December 18 after he complained of uneasiness.

A native of Kunnamangalam in the district, the accused was arrested on December 14 for carrying brown sugar, police added.
