Ram Sethu can be part of Uttarakhand school syllabus: BJP
Dehradun, Dec 21 (UNI) The Uttarakhand unit of Bharatiya Janata Party today hinted at the inclusion of "Ram Sethu" in the school syllabus in the State.
"After much deliberations on the matter," Uttarakhand BJP joint in-charge Dr Anil Jain told media here today," it could be included in the school syllabus of the State, if required." Recently, State Education Minister Madan Kaushik also hailed the inclusion of Ram Sethu issue, as a worthy subject for students awareness, in the school syllabus.
Informing about the further activities of the party, Mr Jain said about 10,000 party workers from the State would register their participation in a grand demonstration convened by the Ramsetu Raksha Samiti on December 30 at Delhi.
He maintained that scientifically and constituionally Ram Setu ought to be preserved and the state BJP unit would extend its maximum support to the Samiti for the cause.
Mr Jain said that the BJP would launch "Ajivan Sahyog Nidhi" from December 25(birthday of the BJP stalwart Atal Bihari Vajpayee) till February 11(Death anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya) in that several party workers would be urged to contribute funds for the party to make it self-reliant.
He denied any internal conflict between party organisation and the Government.
