Rajasthan Patrika institutes international award for journalism

New Delhi, Dec 21 (UNI) Rajasthan Patrika, a leading media group, has instituted an international award for journalism in the name of its founder late Karpoor Chandra Kulish.

Titled KCK award, it carries ,000 and a trophy, aims to uphold and promote value-based journalism, Patrika's Deputy editor Bhuvanesh Jain said.

The award was launched by Patricia Sellers, Fortune Editor-at-large by releasing a poster.

Mr Jain said the theme for the inaugural year is human development and the entries should have been published between January one and December 31.

Nominees for the awards will be selected by a panel of jury comprising Hindu Editor-in-Chief N Ram, Piyush Pandey, Executive Chairman, O&M, Tribune Chief editor H K Dua, Bakul Dholakia former Director of IIM, Ahmedabad, and Gulab Kothari, Editor and Managing Director of the Patrika group.

Due consideration will be given to the importance and relevance of news, teamwork, and efficiency, while judging the award. Apart from the main award, consolation prizes will be conferred in various streams of journalism.

The last date of receiving the entries is January 31.
