Ms Mehta elaborated that the festival, by offering quality art, will try and attract people towards appreciating art and culture instead of watching television during their leisure time.

The first festival slated for January 5 will offer screenings on Sufism and the Performing Arts, fusion ensemble on Zakir Hussain's collaborative work including a performance by Meitei Pung Cholom, one of the country's premier performance troupes and a dance theatre piece-'' Fana'a'' among others.
