Freedom fighter Motilal Shah passes away
Nashik, Dec 21 (UNI) Veteran freedom fighter Motilal Tribhuvandas Shah, who participated in the 1942 'Quit India' movement, died yesterday following a prolonged illness at his residence in Abhona town of the district.
He was 83-year-old and is survived by his wife Leelaben, three sons and three daughters.
Shah was one of the directors of 'Dang Seva Mandal' for 40 years and also the Sarpanch of Abhona town for 18 years.
He was recipient of Maharashtra Government's 'Adivasi Sevek Purskar' in 1998.
The funeral was held today, with people from various walks of life attending.
