DGCA show cause notice to Jet, Kingfisher
New Delhi, Dec 21 (UNI) The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will take action against Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines if they do not furnish by January 4, 2008 the details of the charged tax components in their domestic airline tickets.
A show cause notice was yesterday issued by the DGCA to the two carrier to reply why action should not be taken against them for violating the conditions to operate scheduled air transport services.
The notice was issued after the two airlines failed to reply to the December 4 letter asking the airlines to clarify the charged tax components in their tickets.
They had also been asked to provide confirmation whether all the taxes shown by them in their tickets/website had been deposited with the Government.
The DGCA had sent a reminder on December 11 to all airlines advising them to furnish their reply latest by December 19.
