CM condoles death of former AP Transco Director

Hyderabad, Dec 21 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today condoled the death of former Andhra Pradesh Transco Director G Kesava Rao, who passed away early today.

The Chief Minister, in his condolence message, described him as a renowned technocrat and a specialist in grid operations and initiated steps for vast reduction in transmission and distribution losses in AP Transco.

Rao served the Indian power sector in various capacities and left Central Electricity Authority in October 2002 as a Chief Engineer and later joined AP Transco.

State Power Minister Shabbir Ali also expressed his grief on the death of Mr Rao.
