Protest against 'Taare Zameen Par' in Gujarat

Gujarat, Dec 20, 2007 : Activists in India's western Gujarat protested against the screening of a Bollywood film 'Taare Zameen Par' over the alleged anti-dam remarks of veteran star Aamir Khan.

They demanded an apology from the actor for his anti-Narmada dam remarks made in 2006 as well as his criticism of the Gujarat government over the 2002 riots. Previously two of Aamir"s other releases 'Rang De Basanti' and 'Fanaa' in 2006 had faced similar protests.
