Flamingos flock to Western Pune
Pune,

Dec,

:
As
winter
sets
in,
India's
western
Pune
springs
to
life
with
the
arrival
of
hundreds
of
Flamingos.
But this year Pune is seeing a decline in the number of Flamingos as their nesting and breeding habits are altered, courtesy global warming and a host of other environmental factors. As is the annual pattern, this year too both Greater Flamingos and Lesser Flamingos have migrated to wetlands in Pune, Thane, Solapur, Ahmadnagar and Satara districts of Maharashtra.
