UP Guv, CM greets on Idul-Azha

Lucknow, Dec 20 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor T V Rajeswar and chief minister Mayawati today greeted the people of the state on the eve of Idul-Azha and wished them a happy and prosperous life.

In a message, the Governor said '' Idul-Azha is a festival of sacrifice, which inspires us to share happiness and help the needy and the poor.'' We should strive towards strengthening the social fabric and helping the lesser-blessed people around us, he added.

Whereas, chief minister Mayawati said '' the festival teaches us unity, devotion and brotherhood.'' She further appealed the people of the state to maintain peace on the festival.

Leader of opposition in the state assembly and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav also extended his best wishes to the people on the festival.
