Tripura witnessed Suryakiran and Akash Ganga

Agartala, Dec 20 (UNI) The Indian Air Force (IAF), Eastern Command today presented an air show Suryakiran and sky driving event Akash Ganga here.

The capital town witnessed the 15 formations of nine aircrafts with IAF Formation Aerobatic Team, Suryakiran, and a seven members IAF sky driving troop of Paratroopers Training School, Agra led by wing commander Kamal Singh, who flew at 7000 ft height from the ground.

According to IAF officers, Suryakiran team operated at 200 and 600 Km per hour during display and flew at a height band of 30 to 1500 metre above the ground.

''Flying with such split second precision demands peak performance from both man and machine, unlike most teams fly either frontline fighter aircraft or advance jet trainer,'' said Air Vice Marshal S S Gunasekhar adding that the team had showcased it's skill in over 350 displays across the country and the same show was held in Thailand and Singapore.
