Tata Steel gets medical data base internet facility

Jamshedpur, Dec 20 (UNI) A new Medical Data Base Internet Facility was inaugurated at the Tata Main Hospital (TMH) here today.

Inaugurating this unique facility, Vice-President (Corporate Services) Partha Sengupta lauded the efforts to make all the latest medical information available to medical personnel and the employees of Tata Steel here.

Doctors and medical professionals could access this information through internet at ''MD Consult.com'' site. This facility would give them quick access to 10,000 patient education handouts, 1000 practice guidelines, 50,000 images of various patients and other modern facilites, the company sources said.

TMH is also planning to extend this innovative facility to the out locations of Tata Steel which would go a long way in updating the knowledge and skills of medical professionals including doctors in TMH and other Tata Steel hospitals,the sources said.
