Tata Motors introduces new range of Commercial Vehicles

Pune, Dec 20 (UNI) Tata Motors unveiled its new range of Medium and Heavy Commercial vehicles here today.

''The trucks and value-added applications signal Tata Motors' commitment to bringing customized solutions with the latest technologies'', Executive Director of Tata Motors Commercial Vehicle Business Unit P M Telang said after launching the new range.

'' With the introduction of the new range, Tata Motors reiterates its leadership position in providing the best commercial vehicle solutions for its customers and business partners. The new product range further enhances the company's image as a value-added M&HCV manufacturer, ''he said.

Telang said that road safety, drivers' comfort and fuel efficiency are the main motive of the new range of vehicles.

The company stands at the fifth place in the global truck market. It was at the eighth place in the year 2002, he said.

Addressing the media, Tata Motors Head, Sales&Marketing, Medium&Heavy Trucks R Ramakrishna said, '' We are expecting 60 per cent growth in the business from the new range of vehicles, which includes multi-axle trucks, tractors and tractor-trailers''.
