Select metal prices advance on firm global advice

Mumbai, Dec 20 (UNI) Key metal prices like nickel and tin slab today advanced owing to bullish advice from London Metal Exchange (LME), along with Kolkata, Delhi and other centres, traders at Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.

In ferrous segment (per quital), Copper heavy and copper utensils rose by Rs 600 each and brass utensils and brass cuttings also looked up by Rs 200 each on fresh industrial users demand induced by firm advice from LME, Kolkata, Indore, Delhi and southern regions.

In non ferrous metal group (per quintal), copper wire bars also gained by Rs 600 while tin slab and nickel cathode were up by Rs four and Rs 40 per kg each on sustained heavy demand by local dealers in view of bullish advice from LME along with Kolkata centres.

Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 32,600, copper utensils - Rs 309,00, brass utensils - Rs 244,00, brass cuttings - Rs 25,200 and aluminium utensils - Rs 10,400 per kg.

Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 35,900, aluminium ingots - Rs 12,000, zinc slab - Rs 12,000, lead ingots Rs 11,500, tin slab - Rs 789 and nickel cathode - Rs 1,350 per kg.
