India emerged as 4th biggest export market for Australia

Mysore, Dec 20: Stating that the export trade of Australia with India has reached 12 billion Australian Dollar and was emerged as significant export market for the country, Mr Aminur Rehman, Australian Council General and Trade Commissioner (South India) informed here last night.

Speaking at a seminar on 'Doing Business with Australia' organised by the Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Mr Rehman informed that his country see immense potential for bilateral trade with India including in the areas of food processing, hospitality, Agriculture, Aviation, Education, IT and BT.

Stating that the trade volume of Australia with India has reached 12 billion Australian dollar, a jump of over 37 per cent than the previous year Mr Rehman informed that "India stands fourth in terms of trade volume after United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand".
