Governor Lt Gen Sinha greets people on Id-ul-Azha

Jammu, Dec 20: Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt Gen (retd) S K Sinha today extended his good wishes to the people on the auspicious occasion of Id-ul-Azha and prayed for unity and brotherhood among the people to collectively work for the uplift of the state.

The festival, the Governor said, reminded of the sacrifices of the holy Prophet for righteous cause and for promoting unsheakable faith among mankind in the almighty.

''While celebrating this festival, we should try to bring cheer on the faces of have-nots and strive for a harmonious society keeping in view our rich traditions,'' Lt Gen Sinha said in a statement.

He hoped that the auspicious day would be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity for the state.
