Controversy over Oscar nomination unfortunate: Anil Kapoor

Indore, Dec 20 (UNI) Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor has described the controversy in Indian film fraternity over nomination of Indian films in Oscar last year as unfortunate.

Talking to reporters here last night, Mr Kapoor hoped that similar controversies would not arise in future.

Regarding his film 'Gandhi My Father', the actor said the movie won appreciation abroad and bagged several awards. The film would keep earning for next 90 years.

About his daughter Sonam and Rishi Kapoor's son Ranbeer's debut film 'Saanwariya', he said the film did a good business.

''Saanwariya is one of the better films released in the past 2-3 years,'' Kapoor said, adding that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was a good director.

Without naming 'Saanwariya' and 'Om Shanti Om', Mr Kapoor said some movies did good business but people don't come to know about it, while other films did not do as good business as was claimed.

About his character as a perfect Chief Minister in film 'Nayak', Kapoor said several political leaders praised his role. However, he said did not intend to join politics.
