Commissioner issues notification to management of malls

Hyderabad, Dec 20 (UNI) The city Commissioner of police today issued a notification directing all the cinema theatres, of shopping complexes, malls and entertainment places to implement certain security measures.

The managements were instructed to install door frame metal detector at all the entrance points and also close-circuit TVs for observing and recording suspicious movements and activities.

The police also asked the managements to ensure thorough frisking of each and every person and baggage at the access points and provide cloak room for deposit of belongings and bags, which were not required to be carried inside.

They were asked to engage sufficient number of security staff and also ensure thorough checking of cinema halls after every show.

The management of Big Bazar and Abids were issued a warning notice to improve the security measures immediately, as it was not having inadequate security measures, he added.
