Breather for Virk; HC stays proceedings in two cases

Chandigarh, Dec 20 (UNI) In a major relief to former Punjab Police chief S S Virk, the Punjab and Haryana High Court today stayed the proceedings against him in connection with two cases of disproportionate assets case and land grab.

While granting the stay, Justice H S Bhalla also issued notices to the state government and other respondents for January 10.
