AWES silver jubilee celebrated with 'Run For Fun'

Chandigarh, Dec 20 (UNI) Commemorating the silver jubilee of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), a run-for-fun was organised by Army School Chandimandir today in which nearly 1,000 students and 50 teachers participated.

The run was flagged off from the Chandimandir Military Station by Maj Gen Gurdeep Singh, MG I/C Adm, HQ, Western Command.

Spreading the message of importance of education, good health and environmental protection, the participating students carried placards displaying these themes.

They covered a distance of six kilometers via CBSE office, Hafed building, up to the Sandeep Shankla War Memorial before returning to the Military Station.
