Asha Hooda distributes woolens among orphans
Panipat, Dec 20 (UNI) Ms Asha Hooda, vice president of Haryana Child Welfare Council and wife of Haryana Chief Minister, today distributed woolen jerseys, blankets and cleanliness kits among 4500 orphans and destitute children at a district level here.
The function was organised jointly by the District Red Cross Society and District Administration.
She also gave away Rs 1000 each to other 450 destitute children as a financial assistance for continuing their studies with any burden on their families.
Ms Hooda stressed the need to educate the destitute children so that they could become responsible citizens of the society and asked the voluntary organisations to share this responsibility with the state government.
