Andaman Nicobar Command gets state-of-the-art military exchange
Port Blair, Dec 20 (UNI) The Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) has got a state-of-the-art Military Exchange in the remote islands, defence sources said today.
Air Marshal PP Rajkumar, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command inaugurated the Military Exchange at Brichgunj Military Station.
The Military Exchange was successfully commissioned by 108 Mountain Brigade's Signal Company.The Exchange set up in the newly constructed building was made operational within a record time.
''It will cater for all lodger units of the Station and provides a wide range of facilities that will drastically improve efficiency in communications,'' Lieutenant Mannu Virk, Public Relations Officer (AOL) of Andaman and Nicobar Command told UNI today.
''The Army's Corps of Signals is a front runner in upgrading the communication infrastructure for Indian Army and with successful commissioning of the military exchange at Brichgunj for the Army Component the Corps of Signals has left its imprint at the farthest and important geographical location of the country,'' he said.
