4 held for stealing pipes worth Rs 4 lakh in J

Jammu, Dec 20 (UNI) Four people were arrested today by police for stealing and transporting pipes of Power Development Department worth lakhs in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police sources here said.

Police said that on specific information, a raid was conducted and four people were arrested in village Sartingal of Bhaderwah area, they said, adding, ''the stolen pipes belonged to the Power House Sartingal and the cost of the pipes was estimated Rs 4 lakh.'' A case has been registered against all the arrested people while investigations are on, police said.
