1.23 lakh tonne Bajra procured in Haryana

Chandigarh, Dec 20 (UNI) The Haryana government has made payment of Rs 74.18 crore for the purchase of 1.23 lakh metric tonnes of Bajra out of total arrival 1.98 lakh MT during the current Kharif season.

Stating this here today, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan today said the traders had purchased 75,120 tonnes of Bajra.

He said during the last season the arrival of Bajra in the Mandis was 77314 MTs.

Mr Chander Mohan said that Hafed had purchased 75120 MT, followed by Haryana Warehousing Corporation 39108 MT, Confed 8227 MT, Food and Supplies department 5961 MT and Haryana Agriculture Industry 2497 MT.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Jind district had procured 44120 tonnes of Bajra followed by Rewari 29990 tonnes, Narnaul 27134 tonnes, Kaithal 14880 tonnes, Hisar 13556 tonnes, Gurgaon 12751 tonnes, Mewat 12646 tonnes, Rohtak 12202 tonnes, Faridabad and 10284 tonnes.
