Teacher gives electric shocks to students
Jalgaon, Maharashtra, Dec 19 (UNI) A teacher of the Bhusaval Central Railway Higher Secondary School was arrested for giving electric shocks to 18 students, including girls.
On Saturday, the teacher, Sushant S Mishra (40), locked 18 students of VIIth, VIIIth and IXth standard in the physics lab and gave them electric shocks for not maintaining decorum in the school.
He also misbehaved with the girl students and threatened all of them with dire consequences if they told about the punishment to anyone, police said.
The scared students did not tell anyone about the incident but refused to go to school on Monday. When their parents pressed them, the students narrated the whole incident.
The parents complained to the principal of the school, V S Namjoshi, and demanded strict action against Sushant.
They also lodged a complaint with the Bhusaval City Police Station, following which Sushant was arrested on Monday. He, however, was released on bail yesterday.
Sushant, who teaches class XI and XII students, has been suspended from the school.
