Rs 123 crores provided under CAP in Srinagar

Srinagar, Dec 19 (UNI) An amount of Rs 123 crores has been provided under Credit Action Plan (CAP) as loan for setting up income generating units upto September during current fiscal in Srinagar district, an official spokesman said today.

He said the amount was provided under various priority sector which include agriculture, small scale industries and non priority sectors including trade and services.

Besides, he said, Rs 11.13 crore loan facility was extended for setting up 1006 income generating units under various centrally and state sponsored schemes in the district during this fiscal.

He said this was given out in District Level Consultative Committee meeting held here with District Development Commissioner in chair.

Besides, district and various bank officers, representatives of NABARD and RBI attended the meeting.

The meeting also discussed the Credit Action Plan for the next fiscal for the district under which Rs 557 crore loan facility is proposed to be extended for setting up 18110 income generating units.

The DDC urged the financial institution to expedite the cases for setting up income generating units so that unemployed youth can feel motivated and desist from hankering after government jobs.
