Rain washed out third day's play between K'taka and Delhi

Bangalore, Dec 19 (UNI) Day long incessant rain washed out the entire third day's play of the Elite A Group Ranji Trophy group tie between Karnataka and Delhi, which is heading for a draw, here today.

The two umpires -- Alok Bhattacharjee and Phadkar made three inspections before calling off the day's play at 2.30 pm.

Delhi was all out for 538 in their first innings yesterday, while Karnataka was at zero for no loss in just one ball, as play was called off early due to bad light.

Brief scores: Delhi 538 (Kohli 169, Dhawan 148, Manhas 124, Vinay Kumar 5-124) vs Karnataka 9/0.
