Police round up gang of robbers

Ahmedabad, Dec 19 (UNI) Junagadh Police arrested today morning a gang of thieves for robbing a businessman over Rs 2 lakhs at Bilkha road near the Swaminaryan Mandir gate.

A group of six men and three women had visited a day earlier on December 17 the readymade garments showroom of Vinod Manjibhai situated at Talala town. They purchased some readymade garments and had put a precondition that if they did not like the clothes then they would return the same later, to which Vinodbhai agreed.

The gang came to Vinodbhai's house late yesterday evening and forcibly acquired a cash of Rs 2 lakhs from his safe, not even sparing the Rs 350 cash that he had in his purse and made their gateway with a total sum Rs 2,00,350.

The police sources said the group belonged from Marwad area of Rajasthan.
