Part time DD, AIR correspondents would get increased pay

New Delhi, Dec 19 (UNI) The Government today assured the part time correspondents of the All India Radio and Doordarshan of an increase in their pay packates and consideration of their other problems at the Group of Minister (GoM) meetig.

The assurance to the part time journalists by Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs P R Dasmunsi came when represntatives of their association called on him here.

They requested the Minister to look into a number of issues that required his urgent attention including upgrading the efficiency and pay packets.

Mr Dasmunsi said their demands would be looked into by the GoM which was going to hold its next meeting on January three.
