Kochi, Dec 19 (UNI) The high-power Justice K S Paripoornan Commission, appointed by the Kerala High Court to inquire into allegations of corruption and malpractice in the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), submitted its report to Chief Justice H L Dattu today.
Justice Paripoornan, a former judge of the Supreme Court and Commission member D R Karthikeyan, former Director, CBI, went to the Chief Justice's residence here this morning and submitted the report.
A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court, headed by the then Chief Justice V K Bali had appointed the three-member Commission in January this year to look into the affairs of the TDB, which administers several important temples in the state, including the famous Sabarimala hill shrine.
The third member of the panel was Justice B M Thulasidas, a former Kerala High Court judge.
The High Court had appointed the Commission following a writ petition filed by on C Radhakrishnan and another person from Ambalappuzha, alleging that the TDB president, two members and the commissioner had indulged in widespread corruption in the administration of the Devaswom Board.
The petitioner had sought the appointment of a commission to probe the allegations.
