'Pan Metro Card' for renal disease patients

Mumbai, Dec 19 (UNI) Patients, afflicted with renal diseases, will now be able to avail renal diagnostics at an economical rate.

'Pan Metro Card'--an economical way to avail the best in renal diagnostics has been launched by Metropolis Health Services, a corporate chain of diagnostic centres in association with Panacea Biotec, a company in Nephrology and Kidney Transplantation.

According to a release issued here, the family card will be available to patients associated with Panacea Biotec in Delhi and the metropolis initially, and offers up to 25 per cent discount on renal diagnostic tests.

The launch of the Pan Metro Card was done at the Indian Society of Nephrology conference (ISNCON) 2007 in Delhi.

Panacea Biotec Vice President Sunil K Bajaj said, '' Patients afflicted with renal diseases have to regularly undergo numerous tests, at least once a week or fortnight for patients undergoing renal dialysis. The Pan Metro card would offer the patient and his family the best way of availing excellent services at an economical rate.'' ''We expect at least 2,000 of our patients to benefit from this on an immediate basis. And eventually extend to more than 10,000 patients in the coming 6 years,'' Mr Bajaj added.
