Mr Kumaraswamy to undergo heart valve surgery tomorrow

Bangalore, Dec 19 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, who was admitted to a super speciality hospital in the city yesterday, will undergo heart surgery tomorrow for replacement of portion of one of the blocked valve.

Wockhadrt Hospital CEO Vishal Bali told UNI that the JD(S) leader was suffering from 'Valvular disease' and had some episodes of chest pain earlier.

"He had been subjected to tests yesterday and today to evaluate his condition. Currently he is doing fine and there is no room for any concern," Dr Bali said.

Mr Kumaraswamy had said that "I had been having chest pain for over four months but ignored it. I have been careless about my health for the last 20 months. My family warned me but I did not listen to them." UNI
