Deutsche Bank increases capital by Rs 2,155 cr

Mumbai, Dec 19 (UNI) Deutsche Bank, one of the leading global investment banks, today announced that it had increased capital by Rs 2155 crore for group operations in India.

This includes an infusion of about Rs 1470 crore tier-I capital for its Indian branches and Rs 685 crore towards equity of the newly formed non-banking finance company, the bank said in a release.

The current infusion will take Deutsche group's total capital in India to over Rs. 5,700 crore, making it among the highest capitalized foreign banks in India.
