Death penalty for murder convict

Satna, MP, Dec 19 (UNI) A local court has handed down death penalty to a person on the charge of raping and murdering a minor in 2004.

According to prosecution, the body of an eleven-year-old girl was found in Piprachha village in this district on January 18, 2004.

Investigation revealed that the girl was sexually assaulted and killed. Narendra alias Bode was arrested and blood-stained clothes recovered from him.

Additional Sessions Judge S C Uppadhyay delivered the verdict yesterday. There was no eyewitness in the case but the verdict was announced on the basis of circumstantial evidence.
