New Delhi, Dec 19 (UNI) Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs P R Dasmunsi today released two books on Shahid-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, 'Bhagat Singh: The Eternal Rebel' in English and 'Bhagat Singh: Dastavezon Ke Aaine Mein' in Hindi.

The books have been brought out by the Publications Division to mark the birth centenary year of the great martyr.

While reminding that along with Bhagat Singh, there were many other freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the nation, he said the Government was planning several events in the coming year to pay tribute to them.

Author of Bhagat Singh: The Eternal Rebel Malvinder Jit Singh Waraich is a well known writer. His book traces Bhagat Singh's family background and the nationalistic and revolutionary atmosphere of that time that led him to pursue his fight against the British rule and also against all forms of exploitation.

Bhagat Singh: Dastavezon Ke Aaine Mein is written by Mr Chaman Lal who is a scholar with special aptitude for study of the freedom movement.

The book divided in four parts contains rare government documents related to Bhagat Singh, his letters, articles and photographs.

Former Member of Parliament and renowned journalist Kuldeep Nayar was the Guest of Honour at the function. He recalled an incident when Bhagat Singh had said that the struggle did not end with independence and it would go on till there was no slavery and poverty in the world. He called for change for the people at grass root level.
