Bandipura record 4 cm rainfall in the State

Bangalore, Dec 19 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded at weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka. Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Bandipura, MM Hills 4 each, Gundlupet, Yelandur, Chamarajnagara 2 each, Ponampet, Srinivasapura, Mulbagal, Bangarpet, Anekal 1 each.

Minimum temperatures markedly rose at most places over North Interior Karnataka, rose at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over South Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at most places over North Interior Karnataka, above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and above normal at a few places over South Interior Karnataka.

Bijapur recorded lowest minimum temperature of 12.2 Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to ooccur at many places over South Interior Karnataka, at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
