Three killed, one seriously injured in road accident

Kohima, Dec 18 (UNI) At least three persons, including two women and a minor, were killed and another person was seriously injured in a road accident at the fourth mile area in Dimapur.

Police said here today that the accident occurred when an auto rickshaw, in which the victims were travelling, was hit by a speeding truck yesterday.

All the three passengers died on the spot while the auto rickshaw driver was rushed to the Dimapur Civil Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical, police added.

Police arrested the truck driver and a case had been registered and investigation started.
