Three killed, 11 injured in road accident

Kendrapada, Dec 18 (UNI) Three people were killed and eleven injured, some of them critically, when a vehicle carrying them collided head - on with a lorry on the Paradeep-Daitary Expressway, about 25 km from here today.

Police said the vehicle carrying 14 people was en-route to Tarini shrine at Ghatagaon under Keonjhar district from Kujanga village when the accident took place.

While two people died on the spot, another succumbed to his injuries at the Badachana Public Health Centre.

All the injured were rushed to Badachana police station but later shifted to the SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack.
