Orissa to install CCTV in all sensitive jails

Bhubaneswar, Dec 18 (UNI)In the wake of escape of more than one hundred hard core naxals from the Dantewada jail in neighbouring Chhatisgarha district, the Orissa government has decided to install close circuit televisions(CCTV) in jails located in naxal infested areas.

Inspector General of Prison V Tyagrajan told newsmen here that steps had already been initiated and installation of close circuit televisions would be completed within next couple of months to prevent Datnewada type of incidents in the state.

Mr Tyagrajan said armed security personnel would be deployed around the jails in the naxal affected areas which would be closely monitored by the headquarter.
