One held with 3 kg poppy husk

Jalandhar, Dec 18 (UNI) Police today arrested a persons and seized three kg of poppy husk from his possession near village Singha under Lambra Police Station in the district.

Lambra SHO Harpreet Singh told UNI that on prior information, police arrested one Raj Kumar of the same village and recovered three kg of poppy husk from his scooter. The accused was going to Jalandhar from Nakodar with the contraband, he added.

The accused was booked under NDPS Act and further investigations were on, the SHO said.
