Minority Rights day observed in Manipur

Imphal, Dec 18 (UNI) The Manipur Minorities Commission today organised a function at Imphal to mark the Minorities Rights day.

State Rural Development Minister Md Allaudin Khan was the Chief Guest.

Former speaker Maniruddin Sheikh, former member of the Manipur Human Rights Commission Robindro and others addressed the function.

Large numbers of people representing the various communities of Manipur attended the function.

The speakers stressed the need of taking up development projects for the minorities and spreading awareness of their rights.
