Jaunpur, Dec 18 (UNI) To check the naxal activities in the Naxal-hit Mirzapur, Chandauli and Sonebhadra districts of Uttar Pradesh, police would be provided with satellite phones and wireless scanners soon.

''The three naxal affected districts lack proper police intelligence network...therefore, the police personnel would be provided with satellite phones and wireless scanners,'' Varanasi zone Inspector General of Police (IG) Dr Kashmir Singh today said addressing newspersons here.

This would also assist the police to trace the telephone calls of naxals, he added.

Besides, fencing would be done along the inter-state borders of the naxal hit districts.

A digital map would also be prepared for these districts, which would further assist the cops to nail the naxalites, the IG informed.

''Forest Management groups would be set up in the naxal hit districts, in which peoples representatives, police and administrative officials would be included,'' Mr Singh informed.

Besides, complaint redressal cells would be established in Mirzapur, Sonebhadra and Chandauli.
