HC cancels appointment of engineers,orders fresh recruitments

Patna, Dec 18 (UNI) Patna High Court today cancelled the recruitment of 210 junior engineers and directed the Bihar government to hold re-examination within ninety days for fresh recruitments against these posts.

Justice B N Sinha passed the order while hearing a petition, filed by 40 unsuccessful candidates, who alleged that 45 model answers of the questions supplied to examiners during evaluation of answer sheets were wrong.

Justice Sinha also directed the government to hold an inquiry into the whole episode and submit the report to the court stating about the officers responsible for irregularities committed in the said examination.

Earlier, 210 junior engineers were appointed on the basis of competitive examinations conducted by the state staff selection commission.
