Former K'taka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy hospitalised

Bangalore, Dec 18 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy was admitted to a private super speciality hospital here for a routine cardiac check-up.

The former Chief Minister was taken to Wockhardt hospital yesterday evening and may stay in the hospital for a couple of days.

According to family sources he was suffering from mild chest pain for the last few days.

Hospital sources told UNI that Mr Kumaraswamy would be subjected to some routine tests later in the day.

The Janata Dal(S) leader had been under stress over hectic political developments in Karnataka which saw collapse of two governments since October one. While the party was also under the grip of rebellion with more than a dozen former legislators, headed by former Deputy Chief Minister M P Prakash left the party in protest against the attitude of the top leadership.

Incidentally Mr Kumaraswamy celebrated his 49th birthday on December 16.
