Kolkata, Dec 18 (UNI) Bracketing the CPI(M) with the BJP for its 'anti-farmer' policies, the CPI(ML) Liberation today urged the smaller partners of the ruling coalition in West Bengal to come out and unite for building up an alternative Left force.

"If you think that the Government is not run by the Left Front but by the CPI(M) who are responsible for the Nandigram incident, come out of the Left Front. We need an alternative Left Front," CPI(ML) Liberation General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said at a rally at the end of the eighth party congress.

Mr.Bhattacharya said all the Left parties should come together to snatch away the leadership from the CPI(M) which had connection only with the big corporate houses and not with the masses.

He alleged that the situation in West Bengal was no less serious than in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh where Narendra Modi and Mayawati snatched away the farmers' land in the name of industrialisation.

"The Left Government in West Bengal has taken the same path as that of Modi and Mayawati, who have snatched farmers' land at gun point. There is no difference of economic and industrial policies among them," he said.

Mr.Bhattacharya also alleged that though the CPI(M) was clamouring against the Indo-US nuke deal, the party in reality allowed the UPA Government to hold talks with the IAEA.

Under this circumstances, he said, the other Left parties would have to unite to prevent the UPA Government from succumbing to "US pressure".
