Bomb blast in Lucknow Univ, no casualty

Lucknow, Dec 18 (UNI) Panic gripped the Lucknow University after unidentified youth threw a bomb near the varsity's Commerce faculty and opened fire in the air today.

No casualty was, however, reported in the incident, police said adding it has created fear among students and teachers.

Meanwhile, police in strength have been deployed to avoid any fresh violence in the area.

Investigations were underway.
